Itinerary
Pre-tour meet
We meet at our chosen campsite in Kent where we provide a full briefing of the tour and advice on motorhoming on the continent for the newbies.
You are welcome to join us for dinner in the pub which is included in the tour.
Day 1– 2 Bruges, Belgium
Short drive to Dover for our crossing to Calais. We then have a short drive to our first stop, Bruges. Where we stay for 2 nights at our campsite.
Days 3—5 Brussels, Belgium
A relatively short hop to Brussels to maximise the time at this location. Our campsite is in Grimbergen just outside Brussels but with excellent links to the city.
Days 6 –8 Maastricht, Holland
We continue with our Journey into Holland, to the city of Maastricht and the home of Andre Rieu.
Days 9—11 Cochem, Germany
We head today into Germany and close to the town of Cochem. Here you can walk through the beautiful town with its half-timbered houses, visit Cochem Castle, the largest hill castle on the Moselle, or take the chair lift for a fantastic panoramic view. Alternatively you could take a trip to the fairy-tale Eltz Castle that dates back to the 12th century.
Days 12—13 Luxembourg
Today we take the short drive through the more open part of the Moselle valley to the principality of Luxembourg.
Day 14 Epernay, France
Heading back towards Calais with a stopover for 1 night in the Champagne capital of France, Epernay.
Here you will be able to stock your motorhome to the gunnels with the golden bubbles.
Day 15 Home
Our final leg back to Calais for an afternoon departure to Dover.
This is a fairly long leg of the journey so we will make an early start.
